?? ?Mitch Weber, who most recently worked as a freelance reporter for WDAF-FOX4 in Kansas City, has joined the staff as a reporter at?KSHB and did his first story?on the NBC affiliate Tuesday.
?? ?I?m really excited to get started at 41 Action News,? he told Bottom Line. ?Working in Kansas City has been a goal of mine since I started my broadcasting career.
?? ?I?ve always said the KC market is my ?network? dream. I plan to stay here and retire.?
??? Working at KSHB might seem familiar to Weber. After all, he worked with both Jiao Jiao Shen and Beth Vaughn at KSNT in Topeka, as well as with KSHB anchor Christa Dubill in Madison.
??? Weber had been with FOX4 since last July after spending two years as an anchor/reporter/producer at KSNT.
??? A native of Junction City, KS, and a graduate of Fort Hays State University, Weber honed his reporting, anchoring and producing skills at a number of stations during his career.
?? Before joining KSNT he was with WGBA in Green Bay, WI, for 19 months; 4 1/2 years with WKOW in Madison; and two years with WAOW in Wausau.
?? He has a dog and two cats (all rescue animals) and his hobbies include bicycling, geocaching (link) and gardening. He volunteers at Alphapointe for the Blind
