SAN DIEGO, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Charlie Whitehurst hurled a pair of touchdown passes Saturday, sparking the San Diego Chargers to a 28-20 pre-season win over Dallas.
Whitehurst finished 7-of-12 passing for 122 yards.
Chargers first-string quarterback Phillip Rivers completed 13-for-15 passes for 109 yards with two interceptions.
Cowboys signal-caller Tony Romo was 9-of-13 passing for 75 yards.
Kevin Ogletree had four receptions for 60 yards for the Cowboys.
