Indo-Canadian Voice | 7th Annual Sher-E-Punjab Radiothon raises ...

Sher-E-Punjab Radio AM 1550 held its 7th Annual Radiothon on September 18 in which listeners pledged over $104,000. Since the radiothons inception for the BC Children?s Hospital Sher-E-Punjab listeners have pledged over $700,000.

Last year, Sher-E-Punjab Radio donated $100,000 to the BC Children?s Hospital Foundation. These funds financed ?The Excellence in Child Health Fund. This fund provides the BC Children?s Hospital with the most critical care equipment that is urgently needed.

Ajit Singh Badh, the CEO of Sher-E-Punjab Radio said this annual radiothon is very important because it connects them to everyone, ?It is our common ground and giving is in our hearts?. Badh went on to thank the supporters,?I love the enthusiasm and continued support of our respected fans and families that donate each year. I appreciate the support from children to grandparents, supporters in various other countries,our team at Sher-E-Punjab for there dedication and our volunteers for all the work they do for the day.?

Sher-E-Punjab Radio?s radiothon with the community?s donations continues to change the lives of children and their families at BC Children?s Hospital by helping ensure that our children, the most precious members of our society, are receiving the best possible care. From putting a toy in the hands of a child to conducting groundbreaking pediatric research to find better treatments and cures for devastating childhood diseases.
